Best Overall Camping Chair

Kijaro Dual Lock ($40)

overall best headlamp

Weight: 9.4lbs.

Pros: Affordable, well built (holds up to 300 lbs.), very comfortable, high seat, breathable and it drys quick if you are away and it rains.

Cons: Can be a struggle to get it into the carry bag. The cup holders might not fit a very large water bottle but luckily you can use the side pouch if needed.

Bottom line: The Kijaro Dual Lock Portable Camping and Sports Chair is our favorite around campsites, backyards, and for sporting events. It’s very well-made and comfortable to sit in. This chair does not sag down unlike some other cheap camping chairs. It’s a tall chair and fit most tall and average-sized adults. Comes with shoulder strap carrying straps for easy carry.

Top pick: We’ve had a few chairs wear out on us over the years but this chair is durable and long-lasting. While other camp chairs only have cup holders this one has an extra pocket that come in super handy. For example, what happens when you have a beer, large Nalgene water, and the marshmallows…well this chair has you covered. This chair is the one we use out on our adventures and has become one of our favorite items in our top gear picks.

Key Concepts

Choosing the best camping chair for you

Camping and back yard use – Comfort is upmost and then consider durability so you save money in the long run. Our reviews take into account heavy duty camping chairs that are also considered a lightweight camping chair.

Sporting events and the beach – Choose a low and easily portable chair for sporing, musical events, movies in the park, trips to the beach, and so on.  Outdoor folding chairs are great for all types of events.

Backpacking – It’s best to find other, lighter weight, chair options when going for extended backpacking trips. While folding camping chairs are not a super portable chair that you’d want to use as a backpacking chair, they can serve as a good car camping chair or as a camping chair.

Living in the Northeast, rain happens… but now I have the knowledge and gear to go rain or shine. Glad I found this site! Thanks.

I had a few more questions about one of the tents I was interested in. After posting on the group page I got some great input. My tent is perfect for the camping I like do to.

I get cold quickly. After learning about sleeping bags here I was able to find one that keeps me warm and isn’t to heavy to carry. Thanks for sharing your expertise guys and gals.
